Florida’s Emerald Coast offers warm weather


Christine Sarkis of Smarter Travel has identified five locations offering great deals for spring trips, but cautions that they will expire soon: ·       Tourisme Montreal is offering a Sweet Deal promotion, which runs through May 31st discounting 50 percent off a second night’s stay, with rates from $115 a night at participating hotels.  Free breakfast, Internet access, and room upgrades, as well as extras such as gift certificates, bath products, and wine tastings are included. ·       Tourism Australia is sponsoring a major travel sale that brings together many discount options from airlines, tour companies and vacation package providers.  Qantas is offering sale prices to Sydney as low as $968, before taxes and fees from Los Angeles for flights in May.  ·       Santa Fe makes spring a great time to visit with its affordable activities and discounted hotel rates.

For example the Pueblo Bonito Bed & Breakfast Inn is offering nightly rates in March and April starting at $95 vs. $130 and $115 in May and June vs. $150.  Santa Fe gallery events, artists’ receptions and exhibition openings, as well as art walks on the first and last Friday of every month are free. ·       Hungry is a great place to visit in the spring with its favorable exchange rate and affordable spa retreats and wine country getaways.  Budapest’s Spring Festival runs from March 18th to April 3rd.  Orchestral concerts, operas, musicals, and theater performances, many priced affordably, are staged around the city. ·      

Florida’s Emerald Coast offers warm weather and award winning white sand beaches at the likes of Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa, among many others.  Vision Airlines will commence service from over 20 cities starting in March with prices from $79 each way.  The airline is running a Spring Break Seat sale, with a restricted number of seats strut clamps Manufacturers from $50 each way for travel this spring and summer for tickets purchased by March 7th.  Determined to bring back tourists deterred from visiting last year because of the oil spill, significant hotel and resort discounts are being offered.
